Got Us, Man (Brownstein)

Treasures hidden and locked

Spending time around the clock

Avoiding tasks makes it hard

To realize when you’ve gone too far

It’s all the same, every day

Watching as you lose your way

How you feel you’ll soon reveal

But have no grasp of what is real

What you’ve learned you’ll soon forget

It takes the things that bring you down

To see what you’ll soon regret

What goes around comes back around here

Slippin’ away fading in out

Weeble and wobble but you don’t fall down

How long can you stumble about

Before all of your luck runs out

Shades of gray take you away

Artificial color gets you through the day

The bridge you’re on is about to break

You can hop on off or you can walk the plank

What you’ve learned you’ll soon forget

It takes the things that bring you down

To see what you’ll soon regret

What goes around comes back around here
