Tom Corn Walker (Brownstein/Battat)

Tom spends his time in the cornfields

Surveying the land on his four wheels

He tends to his crop so freely

Shucking his corn quickly and cleanly

He learned from his old man

Born and raised in Iowa’s lands

Destined for a life as a stalker

And to carry the name Tom Corn Walker

Tom in the cornfield

Tom and Sherine had a dream

To raise up their very own corner supreme

He’d tend to the fields as his own

And to one day sit on the cornfield throne

But as Little Tom grew older

It seems he had a corn chip on his shoulder

Afraid of the man he’d become

If he was only known as the corn man’s son

Little Tom in the cornfield

Tom and LT talked for days

Accepting their roles together had changed

It wasn’t easy at first

Giving up a vision decided at birth

So Tom took his son by the hand

They walked together across their land

Out on a quest for joy

Just as they did when he was a boy

Tom and Little Tom in the corn field

Tom is spending time in the cornfield

Little Tom is spending little time in the cornfield

Tom and Little Tom are spending time in the cornfield
