Lost and Found (Brownstein, Amarante)

I lost a dream that once was mine

I’ll wait until my thoughts align

Like presence in a place of proof

Love is never too aloof

I found you in an open door

You danced upon a burning floor

Like amber with a storm of ants

I’d like to trap you in a glance

I lost the place that I called home

It’s where I gathered all alone

Like wilderness in an empty room

Love is never too in bloom

I found your letters where you lay

You used to write my everyday

Like diamonds in a pit of sand

I'd like to take your open hand

I lost my fear of losing time

The ticking clock was too sublime

Like seconds in a spell of space

Love consumes what we erase

I lost the place that I called home

It’s where I gathered all alone

Like wilderness in an empty room

Love is never too in bloom

I found an inlet by the sea

The place you bore the best of me

Like sodium in a gust of wind

I'd like to learn your discipline
