Wayless (Brownstein/Battat/Amarante)

Everybody wanders at one time or another

We all stray from the path

It doesn’t make a difference where we plant our roots

The journey’s where it’s at

We all wanna ride on the high side

For the satisfying scenes

A peek and picture will preserve the pleasure

We once reserved for dreams

I thought of taking on the road less taken

But the boulevard was blocked

It used to be a place to wade amongst the wayless

Now there’s traffic around the clock

All of these lights when we once were dark

One of these nights we set a fire from the spark

All of our life fit inside a flash

One shot is all we got so let’s make the moments last

Everybody’s waiting on the signal for a change

We’re used to moving on green

Life won’t always tell you when it’s time to be moving

The colors can’t be seen

What are we gonna do now, just sit here at the wheel?

Come on, let’s go, let’s give in to what we feel

We can take on the road less taken I’m starting to know it well

It used to be a place to wade amongst the wayless

Now we’re all getting somewhere

All of these lights when we once were dark

One of these nights we set a fire from the spark

All of our life fit inside a flash

One shot is all we got so let’s make the moments last

All of these lights

All of our life

All of these lights

For the rest of our lives
